What a great day celebrating the official opening

On Monday 20th April the Living Hope centre officially opened their doors at Swan Courtyard in Birmingham.

Living Hope provide support to people who suffer with anxiety and depression. Providing a wide range of support and guidance through self-help groups, tea/coffee mornings and a no pressure friendly family atmosphere.

It was such an honour to have The Lord Mayor of Birmingham make an appearance to show his support, along with local MP and press.

The Lord Mayor of Birmingham was very supportive and took his time to greet everybody individually. He also engaged in a game of table football and was happy to have lots of pictures taken with everyone.

A plaque was presented to Living Hope from the Lord Mayor along with the unveiling of a plaque marking the official opening. There were some lovely speeches thanking everybody who came to support the event including Centric for the provision of free workspace.

The atmosphere was fun, relaxed and friendly. A nice spread of nibbles and beverages were provided. A nail table was set up for anybody who wanted to have their nails done. Bouncy castle for the children to play on and a nice chance for users to engage with each other and just talk about anything.

It was an amazing celebration full of serious play! Below are a few snaps from the day, alternatively check out our social media pages:

Thank you Centric, landlords, and everyone who’s played a part in establishing this fantastic community resource in Brighton. You’ve made a crucial difference to the development of our charity and the health and well-being of a large number of people in need
