Help W.A.V.E goodbye to loneliness

Stoke-On-Trent City Council want to WAVE goodbye to loneliness!

They want to get people talking about the issue of loneliness, not just across Stoke-on-Trent but across the country, by asking:

Who around you could be lonely? Keep an eye out for neighbours, friends and family who may be feeling lonely or isolated.

Ask – ‘Are you alright?’ Take five minutes to chat and listen to them.

Visit your local library to find out about activities and services that can help.

Everyone can play a part. Loneliness can significantly harm health, but little things like a friendly smile can make a BIG difference.

Stoke-On-Trent City Council hopes this campaign will change people’s understanding about loneliness and reduce the stigma associated with it.

Due to loss of some of our funding we were no longer able to afford to remain in our current office space. This meant staff were losing their office and meeting space, with no alternative place to work.
