World Cancer Day – 4th February 2016

“Together we can do something”

Every year World Cancer Day is marked on the 4th February to raise awareness of Cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment.

World Cancer Day was founded by Union for International Cancer control (UICC) to support the goals of the World Cancer declaration, written in 2008.

The primary goal of World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by Cancer, by 2020.

“8.2 Million Die from Cancer worldwide each year”

For the first time, a number of Cancer charities are collaborating such as Anthony Nolan, Breast Cancer Care and Movember Foundation to provide multiple initiatives to help support this day.
