Peak Empower CIC

Peak Empower

In May 2020 we were fortunate enough to take on a lease overlooking the market square in Northampton. We invited charities to join us and share the free office space environment. Amongst those who applied were the amazing Peak Empower CIC. They have enjoyed the use of free space and have felt the amazing impact of freeing up resources normally signposted for meeting / storage spaces etc.

During this time, they have gone from strength to strength and have been able to massively increase the programmes that they provide to the local community.

I recently caught up with Sally Tuckfield CEO who said “We would not have been in the position to grow and help more people in isolation had we not had the great space provided for us.  It is so hard for charities these days to cover overheads and get grants for core costs, so this has allowed us to do more than we had originally thought possible, and we can’t thank you enough.

Without spaces being provided to charities like ours we would not be able to grow and expand and we would not be able to reach the number of people we have. We simply could not have provided a safe environment for those with additional mental and health issues.

Recently we won the High Lieutenants of Northamptonshire Rose award for our help during Covid and personally I was just awarded the High Sheriffs award for the Art programme for young children.  All of which would not have been possible without this space”

Due to loss of some of our funding we were no longer able to afford to remain in our current office space. This meant staff were losing their office and meeting space, with no alternative place to work.
